The embroidery motif is influenced by handmade Rarámuri garments made by Tarahumara women in rural Chihuahua, Mexico. A portion of Nikki Chasin's profits for this dress are donated to Fondo Semillas, a feminist fund that supports indigenous women, youth, and marginalized groups in Mexico.
